Plant HR Manager – Textile Industry
Location: Surat, Gujarat
Salary: Up to ₹15 LPA
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Company:
A well-established textile manufacturing company in Surat is looking for a dynamic Plant HR professional to manage human resources operations at the plant level. This role is critical in ensuring smooth workforce management, compliance, and employee engagement to support the company’s growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. HR Operations & Compliance
- Manage the entire HR function at the plant, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and grievance handling.
- Ensure compliance with all labor laws, Factory Act regulations, and statutory requirements (PF, ESI, Bonus, Gratuity, etc.).
- Maintain proper documentation and employee records as per legal and company policies.
2. Recruitment & Workforce Management
- Plan and execute recruitment strategies to ensure an optimal workforce.
- Handle blue-collar and white-collar hiring, managing both permanent and contract labor.
- Maintain strong coordination with labor contractors and staffing agencies.
3. Employee Relations & Engagement
- Address and resolve employee grievances, ensuring a positive work environment.
- Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to boost productivity and morale.
- Conduct regular interaction sessions with workers and staff to improve communication and trust.
4. Training & Performance Management
- Identify training needs and execute skill enhancement programs for workers and supervisors.
- Oversee performance management processes and appraisals in coordination with plant leadership.
- Drive initiatives for continuous improvement in employee efficiency and productivity.
5. Safety, Welfare & Administration
- Implement health, safety, and welfare programs to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular safety training and compliance checks.
- Manage plant-level HR administration, including attendance, leave management, and payroll coordination.
6. Reporting & Coordination
- Prepare HR reports related to headcount, attrition, compliance, and workforce planning.
- Liaise with corporate HR and senior management for policy implementation and strategic planning.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: MBA/PGDM in HR, MSW (Master of Social Work), or a relevant degree.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in HR within the textile/manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, factory compliance, and HR best practices.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HRMS software.
- Fluency in English, Gujarati, and Hindi is preferred.
